Comment from Maeda Jun in the album:

When I thought of a song for a martial arts festival, the first thing that came to mind was ZAZEN BOYS’ “Honnoji.” I wrote it with a similar approach, starting with an alternative rhythm and guitar riff. This also happens in "Particle Effect," but even though the key changes in the middle of the chorus, it doesn't feel unnatural because the only difference is the addition of a single #. It's a common key change, but I've only started using it recently. Suzuki Konomi-san also manages to sing strange lines like "Thanks again for your efforts today" in a cool and cute way, doesn't she?
